Hand-picked individual tours that offer to spend holidays in secluded villas, pampering hotels and on “private” islands are the most popular trends of tourism in 2013, reported the world leading tour operator Kuoni according to its Travel Trends Report 2013.
Other destinations which are set to be a hit this year are Far East, Africa, Indian Ocean, USA, Caribbean and Mexico. These exotic and far long-haul destinations are always at the top of travel requests. But one of them has a tremendous dominance over all others for two consecutive years, and that is the Maldives. Maldives tour packages currently are the most popular holiday tours selling by Kuoni.

And booking the room in a hotel, which may be the only hotel on the whole island, you can easily imagine yourself Robinson as far as the king of your own island state.
This success of the Maldives has been recognised by the prestigious World Travel Awards which will host its annual Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony in the Maldives in April, 19.
The Top-10 of the best selling destinations for 2013 include also Thailand, Sri Lanka, the USA, UAE, Mauritius, Malaysia, Barbados, Singapore and St. Lucia.
As the experts of Kuoni Travel predict, Vietnam will be another popular holiday destination in 2013. Though Vietnam holiday tours are outside the top ten, this destination is rising in popularity and, according to Kuoni’s 2013 Travel Trends Report, will fulfill its potential, fuelled by a greater choice of flights and some exciting new beach options for those that love the Far East.
